Criminal Defense Lawyer in Warren, Ohio

Trumbull · Mahoning · Ashtabula

If you’ve been charged with a crime in Warren or anywhere in Trumbull, Mahoning or Ashtabula County, the next few weeks matter. I’m a former Mahoning County prosecutor. I know how the State builds a case, and I know where to look for its weak points.

Cases I Handle

Misdemeanors (municipal and county courts)

  • Assault and domestic violence

  • Theft and shoplifting

  • Drug possession and paraphernalia

  • Disorderly conduct, menacing and harassment

  • Driving under suspension and other traffic offenses

  • OVI / DUI

Felonies (common pleas court)

  • Drug possession and trafficking

  • Weapons charges

  • Burglary, robbery and theft offenses

  • Assault and violent offenses, including homicide

  • Probation and community control violations (more)

Also: record sealing, juvenile cases and appeals.

How I Work on Your Case

  1. Listen first. You tell me what happened and what matters most to you: your job, your license, your family, your record.

  2. Get the evidence. Police reports, body-camera and dash-camera video, lab results and witness statements.

  3. Test it. Was the stop legal? Was the search legal? Were your rights respected? Can the State prove every element?

  4. Give you straight options. Dismissal, a reduced charge, a diversion program, a negotiated plea or trial. You decide, with honest advice.

  5. Stay with you to the end. You will always know where your case stands.

Why a Former Prosecutor Helps

For four years I decided which cases moved forward and what offers made sense. Now I use that experience for my clients. I don’t play games or make noise for show. Judges and prosecutors know I’m prepared and reasonable. I don’t posture; I focus on what will actually help your case.

Fees

Most criminal cases are handled for a flat fee, so you know the cost before you hire me. Payment plans are available. Trial, court costs, fines and outside expenses are not included. First Steps If You’ve Been Charged

  • Don’t talk about the case with police, the alleged victim, or on social media.

  • Write down your court date and don’t miss it. A missed date can mean a warrant.

  • Save everything: paperwork, names of witnesses, photos and texts.

  • Call a lawyer before your first court date if you can.
